Homages Flow for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can now express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "Once we started spending more time together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the production, remarking that he could not remember "any day without mirth".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a different piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked seamlessly with everyone, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

In a new development, a Los Angeles judge agreed to block the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the local authorities.

A legal directive put a embargo on the files to prohibit the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a public database noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

In the wake of the deaths, public figures shared varying comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering provocative remarks that were broadly criticized by numerous public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the critics recently. Talking on his show, Rogan described the comments as "disappointing" and implied they demonstrated a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by remarking that an aide could have acted when the impulse to weigh in on the passing was made.
