Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

An aircraft ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet touched down in accordance with established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson said in a public statement.

He was traveling back from a quick journey to Brussels during the flight.

This occurrence is not the initial instance that a American defense plane ferrying a senior official has experienced mechanical issues.

Months ago, a American military jet ferrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was forced to turn back to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical problem.
