The Initial Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content on PS5 topics unprecedentedly. 2025 was complete chaos for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it's evident that Microsoft still intends to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its premier subscription.
The Available Now Titles
The two games you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Come mid-January, Game Pass will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that refreshes typical Ubisoft design with a space-faring criminal escapade. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "a superb mixture of frights and fights."
Compelling Indie Titles
Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that's a blast to play, becomes available next week — and it merits a playthrough whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year could captivate you remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by Rebellion Developments, is also a game to check out. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.
A Well-Rounded Collection
In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription by themselves. However, this batch of games are rock solid. It offers a healthy blend of old games you might have missed and new-ish games that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — rendering them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
